A tournament for $2,000 in prize money will be the featured event in BoroughCon’s gaming area.
Storm the Castle will be a 128-seat contest taking place May 27-28 in the DeAngelo Center at St. John’s University in Queens. Organized by BoroughCon, the outer boroughs’ new multi-fandom pop culture expo, and sanctioned by Royal Smash, St. John’s e-sports club, Storm the Castle will pit players against each other in rounds of Super Smash Bros. Melee combat on Wii consoles.
The tournament is open to viewing by all BoroughCon attendees. The convention offers $25 two-day passes to those solely interested in the gaming track; tickets are available at https://boroughcon.com/tickets/.
