Johnny Brennan, who elevated prank phone calls to an art with The Jerky Boys, has joined the roster of celebrity guests slated for BoroughCon over Memorial Day Weekend 2017. His act, a 1990s sensation, yielded one certified-gold and two platinum albums.
Brennan is more recently known for his work on the Emmy-nominated animated series Family Guy where he voices the characters of Mort Goldman (a take-off of his Jerky Boys character, Sol Rosenberg), Horace the Bartender, Peter’s boyfriend Scott from the classic “Family Gay” episode, and many more. He also made a cameo appearance in an episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast.
In 2010, Brennan released two iOS apps titled The Jerky Boys Prank Caller and The Jerky Boys Pinball developed by Inner Four. He then launched The Jerky Boys Show with Johnny Brennan as a free podcast in October 2011.
BoroughCon will be held May 26-29, at St. John’s University in Queens, New York. A host of top-shelf voice actors, live-action stars, influential comic book artists, professional cosplayers and highly-ranked e-sports athletes will be on hand for the debut of this pop culture expo.
